At October 12 extraordinary sitting, moderated by the Chair of the RA NA Standing Committee on Defense and Security Andranik Kocharyan debated the item of the election of the Deputy Chair of the Standing Committee.

The Armenia Faction again proposed Artur Ghazinyan’s candidacy. But the opposition MPs did not go to the sitting. The members of the Civil Contract unanimously voted for the seventh time against Artur Ghazinyan’s candidacy. Under the D’Hondt method, the opposition faction shall present during 5-day term a new or the same candidate.

The Chair of the Standing Committee informed that in the near future the Committee members would be in the border regions of the republic on a working visit.
